Pioneers of Change

Pioneers of Change (POC) supports people who take responsibility for our future through their activities, thus contributing to the transformation to a sustainable society. POC strengthens such “Pioneers of Transformation”and enables them to build their dreams and ideas into concrete initiatives, organisations and sustainable companies. Plenum founded the Pioneers of Change together with Martin Kirchner. We strive to further develop and fulfill their social mission.

Pioneers of Change is part of a global social movement of sustainable economic and social rebirth and a powerful learning and career experience for shapers of change.

We need (young) people who are dauntlessly and professionally committed to change. Instead of “single fighters,” a rich network of people and organisations consolidates that is devoted to change and work together as the nucleus of transformation in society.

The Effect

There have been 88 participants in the “Pioneers of Change” from 2010 to the present.

The Pioneers projects are contagious and inspiring. They are the road map to another world and a lab that leaves room to experiment with what’s new.

81% of the participants have successfully initiated new projects, organisations and companies related to sustainable development – altogether 71 out of 88.

Over 47% bring the “Pioneer spirit” into existing organisations in and outside of Austria, some of them taking leadership positions.
